Knotty Pine Restaurant in Front Royal

We frequent Knotty Pine about three times a week. We like the atmosphere. Everyone knows one another. The servers are great and very friendly, like everyone is family. Food is great too, only wish there was a better, different selections ➡ specials. Other than that great.

The nostalgia of this place is second to none. It's a hometown staple for sure. Placed a to go order right in front of the people, asked for sausage gravy and biscuits for both meals and they gave us chipped beef. Got all the way home. Though it was good it was not what I had ordered and never have had this problem there before.

My kind of place. Great food, cheep, excellent service. They have ashtrays ! And a nonsmoking area. A nice place to hang out for hours or minutes. I love this bar. Old privately owned neighborhood restrant/bar. You can not get any better than this.

Place could use a good renovation, but the food is good. I wish they could fix the ice cream station and offer hand dipped ice cream and shakes. The server was very friendly and attentive.

It's an older place and a little small, but the food is great. My family had breakfast there for two days straight while we were in Front Royal. The pancakes were perfect and the French toast is great too. The prices are surprisingly cheap for good food

I don't go out a lot so I wasn't sure what to expect when I set foot in the door but I had a great time hanging out at the bar with a friend (a Knotty Pine regular) and my younger brother (visiting from the West Coast). What was supposed to be a quick visit ended up lasting a few hours with a lot of singing & laughter. Loved it!

Luv the bartenders!!! They are the best!!! Especially Jenn! She is so nice and always smiling! I always have a good time there. The owner is very nice also .

The Knotty Pine has been there forever and we truly enjoy going there. The food is fresh/homemade and prices are very reasonable. We also enjoy the fact it is one of that last places left you can smoke. However those who do not smoke or don't like the smell of smoking how eating. There is a totally separate non smoking section in the front.

Knotty Pine is a great place for good home coo king at a very fair price. Diners like this are going by the wayside. If you're in Front Royal be sure to stop by. Their breakfasts are outstanding.

Hard working wait staff! Love the old signage outfront and the RCA clock behind the counter. Feels like a local haunt, but hit the spot after a long weekend of hiking.

Food is always good there. It's a small diner but the hubs and I find the best food in the small diners. The Ambiance is not great but the people are. I would highly recommend it.

An old fashion dinner. Good food, great prices, and very friendly people. We even got a piece of birthday cake for dessert.

An absolute favorite restaurant of mine. Not only is their coffee so very good, but they offer a crab cake and eggs as a breakfast item. It's such a treat for me.

Great bar. Friendly crowd. Bartenders are great. Neal is a great bartender. Good place to go and relax after a long day. They have kareokee on Wednesday and Saturday. Cash only. The bar food is ok.

Food was subpar, my 5 year old can cook better then this place. Dirty as well. Sorry, but it is not hard to cook

First time at this place. Service was great! We got breakfast...your usual American dinner fare. Good prices and great portions. My only complaint is the smoking. But, I'm from a state that outlawed indoor smoking. I couldn't get out of there fast enough tho because of it. Eating around people smoking ruins the eating experience.

I had their breakfast for dinner and it was great. The buttered today was perfectly toasted and the sausage had a great flavor.

Enjoyed an all American family breakfast on 4th of July here and it was the absolute best experience with amazing home cooked food! Our waitress was friendly and very kind

This spot is my favored. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The team is very professional and the food they cook is so appetizing. I never decline to have a nice meal here. I highly recommend this place.

Excited about taking my family here for breakfast while in town after reading good reviews about the food. Awesome old building. CASH ONLY! ATM in the building - no problem. We had a party of 5 and were directed to the bar room in the back. Smoking! Had to leave.

Liver and onions overcooked. Food was not hot. Bread was cold. Coleslaw very runny. Friendly service but had flies buzzing around our food.

I decided to check this place out while in town finding it on Google Maps. I ended up unknowingly walking in almost at closing time, but the waitress was genuinely okay with me coming in at the last moment and insisted on me staying to eat. I had a wonderful dining experience and the food was good. I had a great hamburger sub with chips. Service was five-star exceptional as the lady told me she had been there for 25 years and loved her job. It is really great to receive such wonderful service still in this current day and time when many places I have been are quick to rush you out the door or would not have waited on me at all. I had an opportunity to correct their hours on Google Maps so I won't show up at closing time again. I will definitely come back again when in the area and would encourage others too as well as this is a charming hole in the wall type restaurant worth going to where fantastic service makes it an even greater experience!
